Free Solar Power Forecast for 3 days

Get accurate photovoltaic (PV) energy predictions for your solar panel system

How It Works

Our solar power forecasting tool uses numerical weather prediction (NWP) data and current satellite imagery to predict the electricity generation of your solar panel system for the next 3 days. Simply enter your panel's location, capacity, and orientation settings to receive hour-by-hour forecasts.

Understanding Your Solar Panel Configuration

Orientation

The orientation (azimuth) angle determines which direction your panels face:

  • North: 0° (suitable for for Southern Hemisphere)
  • South: 180° (suitable for Northern Hemisphere)
  • East: 90°
  • West: 270°

Adjust the slider above to see how your panel's orientation affects its position in the 3D visualization.

Tilt Angle

The tilt angle (inclination) is the angle between your solar panels and the horizontal ground:

  • 0°: Panels lying flat on the ground
  • 30-40°: Optimal for most locations (often matches your latitude)
  • 90°: Panels mounted vertically

The default tilt of 32° is a good starting point for many locations. Adjust using the slider to match your installation.

Tips for Best Results
Accurate Location

Use the "Get location from device" button or enter precise GPS coordinates for the most accurate forecast.

Peak Power Capacity

Enter your system's rated peak power output in kilowatts (kW). This is typically found on your inverter or system documentation.

Panel Configuration

Ensure your orientation and tilt angles match your actual installation. Use the 3D visualization to verify your settings.
